Miami will return to the NCAA Tournament after missing the last two. This 2019 Miami baseball team is young. None of this year’s players made the list. If another one is made for the 80th anniversary of Miami baseball in 2024 some of the current players could challenge to make the team.

HurricaneSports.Com had Miami baseball fans vote on the all-time team between April 12-30. The results were tabulated and an all-time team assembled. HurricaneSports explained the team.

"“A 13-player team was constructed that featured a catcher, first baseman, second baseman, shortstop, third baseman, three outfielders, a designated hitter, right-handed pitcher, left-handed pitcher and two relievers.”"

The full lineup is below. It’s not truly a “team” with only 13 players. It would be interesting to make a full MLB roster of 25 players. NCAA Division I baseball teams are allowed 27 players on a roster that are on scholarship. With partial scholarships available in baseball 11.7 total scholarships are allowed in baseball.

Nearly half of the players named to the Miami baseball all-time team have made the Major League All-Star team at least once in their career. All but three players on the Miami baseball all-time team made it to the major leagues. Only Mike Fiore, Doug Shields and current Hurricanes Pitching coach J.D. Arteaga failed to reach the show.
