DeeJay Dallas is the most accomplished of the players poised to breakout for the Miami football team in 2019. Dallas has been exceptional during his first two seasons as Homer’s understudy. He has improved each season after originally being a wide receiver at Miami. Dallas ran for 217 yards as a freshman and 617 last season.

Dallas is the most versatile player on the Miami offense. He has added 14 receptions for 177 yards during his two seasons with the Hurricanes and has frequently taken snaps at quarterback in the Wildcat. Dallas was a QB in high school. In 2019 Dallas ascends to the first-team running back.

Dallas will be a part of a deep Miami running back rotation in 2019. Rising sophomores Cam’Ron Harris and Lorenzo Lingard will back up Dallas. If the Hurricanes can get help from the passing game the entire offense should improve in 2019. Miami should get help in the running game from QB and wide receiver Jeff Thomas.

Expect to see Dallas and Thomas line up all over the field in Enos’ new offense. The 2019 Miami offense will look a lot different than it ever has. The Hurricanes offense will be the most innovative it has been since the Dennis Erickson era.
