2. Scouting Report. Graduate Transfer. K.J. Osborn. Pick Analysis. WR. player. 834

K.J. Osborn has become the leader of the Miami wide receiver corps in the four months since transferring from Buffalo. He will become a key figure for the Hurricanes offense. Osborn should become the go-to wide receiver that the Hurricanes were missing in 2018.

Osborn improved in each of his three seasons with the Bulls. He has 96 receptions for 1,490 yards, averages15.5 yards reception and has recorded 12 touchdowns. Osborn has added nine carries for 38 yards rushing, 25 punt returns for 257 yards and seven kickoff returns for another 135 yards.

Like Dallas, Osborn gives the Hurricanes a lot of versatility. Osborn, Dallas and Thomas can all assist in the Miami return game. Osborn’s leadership is critical on a Miami wide receiver corps that is very young behind him, Thomas and rising Junior Mike Harley. Osborn’s best season came as a redshirt junior last season.

Osborn was second on Buffalo across the board in 2019 with 53 receptions for 892 yards,16.8 yards per reception and seven touchdowns. Those numbers are nearly identical to what Braxton Berrios put up for Miami in 2017 while leading the Hurricanes in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

Osborn should compare favorably to Berrios while providing the Miami football team with more of a deep threat. Berrios had 55 receptions for 679 yards, 12.3 yards per reception and nine touchdowns.
