Miami football recruiting: Paradise Camp can add to 2021 top recruiting class
WR Brashard Smith
QB Santino Marucci
Four-star QB Tyler VanDyke is committed to the 2020 Miami recruiting class. The Miami football staff is still working on a signal caller to add to the 2021 class. Three high-level WRs and one RB are already committed to the Hurricanes for 2021. That has to entice a QB. Marucci is a solid three-stars out of Jupiter.
WR Malik Rutherford
DE Keanu Koht
WR Jacolby George
LB Patrick Payton
LB Zachary Lovett
S Anthony Marshall
CB Makkah Jordan
LB Cortez McKenzie
2022:
DE Shemar Stewart
LB Melvin Jordan (FSU commit)
The incoming junior and senior classes are the only ones ranked by 247. Getting the players on campus early can help create long-lasting relationships with those players at least three and a half years away from signing a national letter of intent.
LB Melvin Jordan is the only 2021 recruit or later committed somewhere other than Miami that is at Paradise Camp. Jordan has 13 offers with all but four of those coming from Power Five schools. Florida and ACC Coastal rival Pittsburgh are among the other notable schools to offer Jordan.
S Kamari Wilson
DE Francois Nolton
DL Daniel Lyons
DE Dante Anderson
WR Rian Black
RB Terrance Gibbs
OL Julian Armella
LB Tray Brown
QB MJ Morris
The New Miami recruiting and coaching staffs are putting a greater emphasis on recruiting in Louisiana and Texas. Incoming freshman QB Peyton Matocha signed with the Miami football program for 2019 from Houston. Miami has not yet offered a QB for 2022 according to 247.
2023:
WR Lamar Seymore
The 2023 recruits will not have any of the current Miami players as teammates other than redshirts. Projecting over four years out which schools these players will attend is nearly a futile attempt. Seymore is the younger brother of Miami commit Laurence Seymore. That should help in recruiting.
RB Jaziun Patters
Paradise Camp is one of the lasting legacies of Mark Richt’s short three-year tenure leading the Miami football program. Diaz will make some changes to make the camp more his own. The importance of getting recruits on campus and working with the Miami staff and alums will always be the core of Paradise Camp.
