The 2020 Miami football recruiting class is starting to take shape under Manny Diaz. The Hurricanes are still recruiting several high profile recruits who they have a realistic chance of signing.

The 2020 Miami football recruiting class is currently ranked eighth in the country. The Hurricanes are recruiting several high-level players in the Class of 2020 that can vault Miami from eighth into the top five. Wide receiver, defensive back and linebacker are the Hurricanes three strongest positions for 2020.

The Hurricanes currently have two four-star commits at WR for 2020. Marcus Fleming and Michael Redding III give Miami different looks at WR and are expected to challenge for playing as Freshmen. The 2020 class will help to replenish the LB corps and add to what will be a deep secondary.

Miami is still after several high profile recruits for 2020. Landing any combination of these players will elevate what is already an elite Hurricanes recruiting class. The highly ranked, uncommitted players considering Miami are spread out on offense and defense. Some have the potential to play on either offense or defense.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 11. player. 834. TE/ATH. Desert Pines HS. Darnell Washington

Darnell Washington is an incredible athlete at 6’7.5 261 pounds. He likely projects as a tight end in college but is currently ranked as the nation’s top athlete for 2020. Washington developed a rapport with 2020 Miami QB commit Tyler Van Dyke. The two were nearly unstoppable in Paradise Camp.

Washington is from Las Vegas. Current Miami TE Brevin Jordan, plus his Miami and high school teammates, QB Tate Martell and DB Bubba Bolden prepped at Bishop Gorman in Sin City. That could help Miami in recruiting. Washington is the 11th ranked player overall for 2020. Georgia and Alabama are currently his top suitors.
