Four-star WR Dazalin Worsham de-committed from Alabama shortly after attending Paradise Camp. He is projected to sign with Miami in December. Fifteen of the 16 247Sports prognosticators or 94 percent predict Worsham will attend college in Coral Gables. The lone dissenter hasn’t updated his projections since December.
Worsham is the nation’s 255th ranked player, 47th best WR and 11th best player in Alabama for 2020. This would mark the second consecutive recruiting cycle that Miami has flipped a player from Alabama. Four-star DB Christian Williams signed with Miami in February 2019 after previously being committed to the Crimson Tide.
After not initially being in the mix for four-star WDE Chantz Williams, the Miami football program is now the unanimous leader to sign him. Williams is 6’3.5, 214 pounds and the nation’s 85th ranked player, fourth-ranked WDE and 10th ranked player in Florida. He would be a key addition to a class with three DEs.
Lake reported that Williams wants to be used as a standup defensive end in college. The Hurricanes are going to use what they will call the viper position in 2019. It will be a hybrid between defensive end and outside linebacker. The Viper will rush the passer and occasionally drop into pass coverage.
