Florida enters Saturday’s game at Camping World Stadium as the nation’s eighth-ranked team and Miami is unranked. A lot can happen over the course of a football season. Miami entered 2018 coming off of a 10-3 season and Orange Bowl appearance. The Gators finished 2017 4-7 and were unranked to begin 2018.

Florida finished 10-3 in 2018 and ranked sixth in the final polls. Miami was 7-6 and unranked. The preseason rankings are nothing more than a measurement of how the consensus thinks college football programs will perform in a given season. They in no way indicate success.
