Miami Hurricanes offensive line can’t take UNC lightly

Jason Strowbridge, Tomon Fox, Aaron Crawford, and Allen Cater all reached ten pressures against South Carolina. Jonathan GarvinScott Patchan, Jonathan Ford, and Pat Bethel, combined for 11 QB pressures against Florida. The lack of pressure on the defensive line and mediocre LB play got lost in the shuffle for Miami.

Williams proved he can stand in the pocket and take the pressure against Florida. Bentley was rattled by the North Carolina pass rush. The South Carolina QB was two of nine for 20 yards with one interception while being sacked three times when he was under pressure per Inside the U.

Miami dominated North Carolina in a 47-10 victory at Hard Rock Stadium last season. The turnover chain made six appearances last season and the Hurricanes found the end zone three times on defense in the win over the Tar Heels. N’Kosi Perry only had to throw the ball 12 times completing eight for 125 yards.

Getting ahead and letting the defense and running game defeat North Carolina like Miami did last season would be ideal. Letting Jarren Williams ease into the position would help him grow and take a lot of pressure off him to carry the Miami football team.
