The 23rd meeting between Miami and North Carolina will break an 11 all-tie in games won. The Hurricanes lead the series 8-7 in ACC Games. This season’s meeting is the ACC opener for both teams. A game against an SEC Rival followed by a key Coastal Division game is a tough way to begin the season.

MIAMI HURRICANES (0-1, 0-0 ACC)
HEAD COACH: Manny Diaz (Florida State, 1995) | CAREER: 0-1 (first season) | AT MIAMI: 0-1 (first)

Injuries:

Diaz said that the Hurricanes came through the season opener against Florida with no major injuries. The players who were expected to be out Saturday will continue to be. Running back Lorenzo Lingard could make his season debut. Lingard suffered a season-ending injury after six games in 2018.

North Carolina has five players on the injury report for Saturday. Defensive back Trey Morrison has an undisclosed upper-body injury. Linebacker Dominique Ross is expected to return as DB Cam’Ron Kelly. Morrison was facing a suspension and Kelly was just declared eligible after not playing against South Carolina.
