Earl Timberlake

This talented wing from the fertile recruiting ground of the Nation’s Capital has prototypical size at 6’6”, 215 lbs, and has the offers and plaudits to go along with it. A composite four-star player by 24/7 Sports, Timberlake recently received the fifth star from Rivals, who ranks him the 25th best player in the class.

Timberlake has already visited Pittsburgh, South Carolina and Providence, and will be on Miami’s campus this coming weekend, followed by Alabama later this fall. North Carolina and Seton Hall make up the remainder of this list.

Pundits are saying this is one of the closest held recruitments in this class, and the Hurricanes are believed to have as good of a chance as anyone.

Donovan “Puff” Johnson 6’6 185, small forward. Hillcrest Academy, Phoenix, AZ

The younger brother of former Pittsburgh and North Carolina star and 2019 NBA lottery pick Cameron Johnson, “Puff” recently cut his list to seven, including the Hurricanes. A consensus top 50 player, this four-star recruit plays in Arizona, where his brother plays for the Suns and his father’s college teammate, Sean Miller, leads the Wildcats.

Most think that he’ll end up in Arizona, but UNC and Ohio State are also getting official visits at this time, and Miami, Louisville, Notre Dame and Pitt make up the remainder of his list.
