After a very successful run as the defensive coordinator, Diaz now has his first job as a head coach, his “dream job”,  as coaching the team he grew up watching, the Miami Hurricanes football team.

Diaz coaching at Miami is nothing other than a direct result of things that were accomplished by so many former Hurricane players years ago. With Coach Diaz comes a completely different style of coaching and one that has not seen at Miami in quite some time.

Rather than try to corral these young men he has unleashed the beasts within them. Miami for years has attracted some of the best NFL caliber talents that played as former Canes. That said at the Miami Hurricanes have fallen short year after year. Maybe it’s the sanctions, maybe it’s the threat of sanctions.

It’s possible it’s just the unknown but now one thing is for sure. The Miami Hurricanes have always been a team with an amazingly devoted and diverse fan base and now that fan base has come back home and anything is possible.

Say what you want but Miami is a unique city with its own culture and the Miami Hurricanes have one of the best and loudest group of fans anywhere in a place where there is never a lack of things to do. Add to this crowds of devoted fans from all over the country and no wonder why Miami is so unique. Long live The U.
