The Hurricanes admirably clawed back in the second half and played fairly clean half offensively. Miami outgained the Hokies 237 to 140 in the final minutes. The Miami offense ran out of time at the end of the game to tie the score. Dallas had tied the score in the fourth quarter on an explosive 62-yard run.
That came with 3:16 remaining. Giving the Hurricanes best offensive player through the first five weeks of the season. The Miami players and coaching staff have a short week to do a lot of soul searching and analyzing what went wrong in the first half on Saturday. The Hurricanes host Virginia on Friday night.
