Virginia is likely to be the highest-ranked ACC team that the Miami football team will play in 2019. The Hurricanes need a complete performance. Miami needs to see the N’Kosi Perry that was sensational in the second half against Virginia Tech. Kicker

Bubba Baxa

needs a flawless performance.

The Miami offense needs to be turnover-free and the defense needs stops. Miami needs to do that going forward to turn the season around. It’s easier said than done in college football with 18-23-year-old players. Virginia is the fourth game in a five-game homestand for Miami. Georgia Tech is at Hard Rock Stadium next week.

The weather could be a factor on Friday night. As usual, with rain that could favor the ground game.

DeeJay Dallas has been terrific on the ground for Miami most of the season. He has struggled somewhat in the last two games. The junior did have the two biggest plays for the Hurricanes in last week’s loss to Virginia Tech. He converted a two-point conversion to bring Miami within 35-29.

Later in the fourth quarter, a 69-yard touchdown run by Dallas in which he broke a few tackles on the way to the end zone put Miami in a position to take the lead. Baxa missed the extra point that kept the game tied at 35. Dallas is fifth in the ACC averaging 81.8 rushing yards per game.
