Miami should be able to control both lines of scrimmage for the first time this season against an FBS team. The Georgia Tech offensive line is decimated by injury. The Yellow Jackets offensive line was built for the chop blocking of the triple option of retired head coach Paul Johnson. Georgia Tech has struggled in pass protection.

The Yellow Jackets are 107th in FBS allowing three sacks per game. Miami is last allowing 4.67 sacks per game. The game will be a pair of sieve when Miami is on offense. The Hurricanes porous offensive line will go against the Yellow Jackets run defense that is 127th against the run allowing 237.67 yards per game.

Georgia Tech has a good pass defense, but Miami needs to commit to the run to win. Offensive coordinator Dan Enos has not used running back DeeJay Dallas enough this season. Dallas is averaging less than 12 carries and 14 touches per game. Dallas and Cam’Ron Harris should find a lot of running room Saturday.

Miami should be able to get after Georgia Tech’s offensive line. The Yellow Jackets are 121st in total offense. The Georgia Tech offense is 77th in rushing yards and 120th in passing yards. Miami has to play with a sense of urgency. At home, the Hurricanes need to give the fans a reason to cheer early.
