Several Miami football alums call out players on Twitter after 28-21 overtime loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.

Armchair quarterbacks had a field day following the loss by the Miami football team to Georgia Tech on Saturday. After fans and legendary Hurricanes running back, Clinton Portis called out the coaching staff, several Miami alums led by three-time National Champion Kelvin Harris called out the players Saturday night.

Harris played offensive line for the Miami football team in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He spent two years in the NFL with the LA Rams in 1992-93 and had stints in the CFL, World League an Arena football. Harris is often consulted by media who cover the Miami football program. He is outspoken.

Harris was critical of the Miami football players following the Hurricanes loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday. A few other Hurricanes alums backed Harris up on Twitter. Former 790 The Ticket Morning host and center on the Hurricanes 2001 National Championship team Brett Romberg and Rashad Butler agreed with Harris.

Harris opened his comment in the postgame by stating he was disgusted with the loss as anyone who cares about the Miami football program is. There is plenty of blame to go around following the Hurricanes’ loss. Harris called out the coaching staff but put the lack of concentration on several Yellow Jacket TDs on the Miami players.

Harris’ initial tweet sent off a firestorm. Romberg understands the Miami fan base better than most. He spent years as the morning host on 790 the Ticket and played on the best team(s) in program history. The former All-American center also called out the players not wanting to win badly enough.
