Miami Hurricanes Football
The biggest battle on Saturday will be the porous Miami offensive line against Pittsburgh’s defense that leads FBS in sacks. The Panthers average 5.14 sacks per game. That is a sack more than any team in FBS and the most per game in over 10 years. Miami is 127th nationally allowing 4.43 sacks per game.
Jaylen Twyman leads Pittsburgh and is seventh nationally with seven sacks. The Miami football team is likely to be without running back DeeJay Dallas who suffered a knee injury last week. Sophomore Cam Harris and the Miami tight ends are going to have to help out in pass protection against the Panthers.
Expect a low scoring game. Miami is 19th nationally in total defense allowing 298 yards per game. Pittsburgh is 21st allowing 302.9.
The combination of a stingy run defense and dominant pass rush is going to make it tough on the Miami offense. Offensive coordinator Dan Enos is going to likely utilize quick passes to slow down the Pittsburgh pass rush.

As of Thursday night, Miami had yet to name a starting quarterback. Both Jarren Williams and N’Kosi Perry are nursing shoulder injuries. Perry played the entire game in the win against Virginia two weeks ago. Williams was 1-3 last week in relief of Perry who went back in after separation to his left non-throwing shoulder.
