A win on Saturday by Virginia improves them to 4-2 and drops North Carolina to 3-3. The rest of Saturday’s schedule in the ACC Coastal is 2-2 Pitt at 1-3 Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech playing a non-conference game at Notre Dame 2-2 in the ACC.

A win by Pittsburgh would also help the Miami football team after the Hurricanes defeated the Panthers and lost to Georgia Tech. Duke enters a bye week 2-3 in the ACC. That would leave five of the seven teams in the ACC Coastal within a game of the lead.

Most of the remainder of the games through the final five weeks in the ACC Coastal will have importance in the race to almost certainly play Clemson in the ACC Championship Game. After a bye week, Duke will host Notre Dame November 9 on the ACC Network. Georgia Tech will travel to Virginia and Louisville is at Miami.

In another big crossover game, Wake Forest is at Virginia Tech. Miami needs a win to go with victories by Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. Pittsburgh and North Carolina are off Week 11. If the results fall in Miami’s favor, Virginia and Miami would lead the ACC Coastal at 4-3 with Pittsburgh in a virtual tie at 3-2.

North Carolina would be a game behind at 3-3. Virginia Tech would fall to 2-3 and have to win out to stay in contention in the ACC Coastal Division title race. Georgia Tech would be 2-4. Miami has a bye Week 12. North Carolina at Pitt kicks off Week 12 on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m ET on ESPN.
