Miami Hurricanes Football
Louisville is making its first trip to play the Miami football team in South Florida since the Hurricanes epic comeback behind Devin Hester’s heroics in a 41-38 victory in 2004. This will be the first game between Louisville and the Miami football team at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Cardinals played at Hard Rock Stadium in 24-13 victory over Wake Forest in the 2007 Orange Bowl game. Manny Diaz and Louisville Head coach Scott Satterfield will be matching up for the first time as head coaches. Diaz and the Hurricanes won 45-10 in 2016 at Appalachian State when Satterfield was the head coach there.
Satterfield took over the Louisville football program this season after 47-16 tenure in Boone, North Carolina. Louisville has mastered a balanced offense under Satterfield. The Cardinals are 35th nationally in total offense.
Miami needs a win against Louisville to keep the momentum going and clinch a bowl berth and at least a .500 season overall and in the ACC. A victory also keeps alive the slim hopes the Miami football program winning its second Coastal Division title in three seasons. Louisville would clinch a bowl victory with a win as well.
