Former Alabama commit, four-star wide receiver Dazalin Worsham is expected to commit to the Miami football program on Friday.

Dazalin Worsham is the nation’s 289th ranked player, 50th ranked wide receiver and 13th player in Alabama in the 2020 recruiting class. Worsham would give the Miami football program a big boost after losing two players in their 2020 recruiting class this week.

A commitment from Worsham would boost the 2020 Miami recruiting class up one spot in the rankings ahead of the Hurricanes ahead of their ACC Coastal Division Rival North Carolina. Miami is reportedly looking to add more size at wide receiver. The Hurricanes lost four-star WR Marcus Fleming on Monday.

The 5’9.5, 160 pound Fleming reportedly did not fit what offensive coordinator Dan Enos and wide receivers coach Taylor Stubblefield were looking for at wide receiver. Worsham would provide much better size at 6’0 185 pounds. Eleven of the 15 crystal ball projections on 247Sports.com predict Worsham to choose Miami.

Four-star WR Michael Redding III is the only wideout currently committed to Miami for 2020. Redding is the 156th ranked player, 29th ranked WR and 25th ranked player in Florida in the Class of 2020. At 6’1 195 pounds, Redding and Worsham could eventually team to give the Miami football program excellent size at WR.

Andrew Ivins of Inside the U summarized the intel he has about what to expect when Worsham announces his college choice Friday. Worsham de-committed from Alabama shortly attending Miami’s Paradise Camp this summer. He has not committed to any other schools since. Ivins is confident Worsham will choose Miami.

"“WR Daz Worsham – The Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville four-star wide receiver is expected to make a commitment on Friday. Many believe that the former Alabama commit will pick the Hurricanes.Miami made a strong impression on Worsham back in June when he was in town for an official visit and kept chipping away behind the scenes even after Worsham told reporters in August that he was once again feeling Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide."

Miami is expected to pursue more wide receivers for 2020 regardless of what decision Worsham makes. The Hurricanes will definitely lose graduate transfer K.J. Osborn after the season. Junior wide receiver Jeff Thomas is widely considered to be leaning towards foregoing his final season of college eligibility to enter the NFL Draft.

Miami is expected to return the remainder of their WR corps. Junior Mike Harley is the only other Miami WR eligible to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. Harley has improved each year he has been with the Hurricanes. The former St. Thomas Aquinas star has 34 receptions for 447 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Sophomore Dee Wiggins has broken out over the last two weeks. On the season, Wiggins has 16 receptions for 314 yards and three touchdowns. In the last two wins over Florida State and Louisville, Wiggins has seven receptions for 159 yards and all three of his TDs. Sophomore Mark Pope has also contributed this season.

Next. Miami can replace decommits Fleming and Branch. dark

Pope has 12 receptions for 188 yards and a TD. With the WRs returning in 2020 plus the wideouts the Hurricanes are projected to sign the Miami passing game should continue to evolve led by Enos and Quarterback Jarren Williams.
