Miami football returns to Orange Bowl grounds vs FIU: Game Info
Williams led Miami to a game-winning drive in the last minute in victory over Pittsburgh four weeks ago. In the victories over Florida State and Louisville, Williams has completed 61 percent of his pass attempts for 566 yards with eight touchdowns and no interceptions. The six TD passes against Louisville set the Miami record.

Butch Davis spent six years at Miami compiling a 52-21 record. He was 3-1 against the Hurricanes while the head coach at North Carolina from 2007-10. Davis was credited with setting the foundation for the 2001 National Championship and 2001 runner-up before he left for the Cleveland Browns.
The Miami football team will attempt to even the series and win their third straight against Davis coached teams on Saturday after losing the first three times he coached against his old team. Davis’ tenure at North Carolina was the same four years Randy Shannon coached Miami. Davis coached against Mark Richt in 2018.
Manny Diaz will be the third different head coach Davis matches wits against the Miami football team. Diaz has had three games this season against mentors. Speaking earlier this week Diaz said that he and Davis’ paths have crossed a few times. Despite deep roots in Miami Davis and Diaz have not coached on the same staff.
