Dallas will miss the last two games of the Miami Hurricanes season because of the injury. Harris has done very well behind Dallas this season. The sophomore has run for 508 yards and four TDs averaging 5.3 yards per carry. When Dallas was out injured earlier this season Harris ran for 138 yards on 18 carries versus Pittsburgh.

The Hurricanes ground attack has plummeted from 2018 to 2019. Miami is 117th in rushing offense this season with an average of 123.91 yards per game. The most widely accepted measurement of the success of a team running the football is yards per carry. Miami is 83rd at 4.03 YPC.

The Hurricanes are running for more than a yard and a quarter less every time they attempt to run the football than they did last season. That has allowed opposing defensive coordinators to use nickel and dime packages against the Hurricanes and clog up the passing lanes.

We saw what happened to the Miami passing game against FIU. Jarren Williams has avoided interceptions in all but two games this season. He had three each against Virginia Tech and FIU. It put Miami in deep holes they were unable to climb out of in games they were favored by at least two TDs.

Miami has also been hindered by its situational offense this season. After struggling on third down in 2017, the Hurricanes seemed to rectify their ability to extend drives in 2018. Miami finished 126 in third-down conversions at 28.83 percent during their 10-3, ACC Coastal title-winning 2017 season.
