Williams went from being in the upper one percent of players being able to make it back from the injury to Golden not encouraging him to sue. His allegations might or might not prove to be true but the timing seems like a person who felt like he was wronged and is getting as much information out there as he can.

Golden’s other allegation we did not cover in the article posted on Saturday covered his actual dismissal as the Miami football head coach. The former Hurricanes boss alleges that Miami athletic director Blake James and the Miami athletic department falsely attributed a press release to him upon his departure.

"“(James) ordered the public press release of a false quotation attributed to me. … [I]t did not provide me the platform to thank our student-athletes and their families.”"

The press release which Golden alludes to did not portray Golden in a negative light. Time and the proof of who produced the press release will have to be hashed out in court. What the vast majority of those that follow the Miami football program agree on is that Golden was never a good fit in Coral Gables.

"“On behalf of my family I want to thank the University of Miami for a tremendous opportunity. I believe in what we are doing and how we are doing it and we have some outstanding young men in our football program. Though this moment is difficult, we wish the Canes the best of luck going forward.”"

Golden was fired after a 32-25 record in four and a half seasons in Miami. The last straw was a program worst 58-0 loss to Clemson on October 24, 2015.  A week later under interim head coach Larry Scott the Hurricanes won the eight-lateral miracle in Durham game. Miami was 4-2 under Scott and lost in the Sun Bowl.
