to be its starting left tackle, then quickly realizing he couldn’t play a lick at this level.

Desperately needing help on the offensive line Kennedy’s transfer from FCS Butler to Miami was supposed to add veteran leadership and stabilize the offensive line. Kennedy could not even earn meaningful snaps at guard. With one of the nation’s worst offensive lines in 2019 Mami is likely to look to the portal again for 2020.

▪ Biggest disappointments:

1) The Diaz era in year one. Excellent on social media, not so much on the field.

Manny Diaz began his tenure as the Miami Hurricanes head coach with a lot of self-promotion of the Hurricanes football program on social media. It was the right thing to do following a 35-3 annihilation by Wisconsin in the 2018 Pinstripe bowl. Diaz had to drum up artificial enthusiasm for the Miami football program.

While it worked for more than eight months once Miami lost to Florida a lot of that hype came back to haunt Diaz and the Miami football program. The 2020 offseason is going to be tough for Miami to restore confidence but Diaz might be best served by pllayers working hard and a better offensive coordinator.
