The possibility exists that Brown could return to Boston College for the 2020 season according to Feldman with the Eagles employing a new coaching staff. Brown missed the last half of the 2019 season with a torn ACL in his left knee. He suffered a severe injury to his right knee that included a bone bruise three years ago.

Feldman stated that Brown expects to be back to full health by late April and would not be considering returning to Boston College without a new coaching staff. The spread offense that Miami is expected to play could work against them signing Newman. Newman told Feldman he wants to hone his game for the NFL.

"“The RPO game is cool, but it’s only a little bit of the NFL, and I think I need to work a little bit more on NFL pro concepts and being able to check protections and stuff like that. I think most of my teammates understood. They knew that it was a business decision and they wanted me to do what I needed to do.”"

Newman is 6-4, 230-pounds, runs well at that size and has a cannon arm according to Feldman. His skills in the past indicate he would fit perfectly into Lashlee’s offense, but would Newman be willing to transfer to another school that runs and spread offense. Particularly a school with unproven WRs and a porous offensive line.

Feldman closed his article that Newman is looking for a program that will help him grow at the next level. It’s hard to say if that’s Miami. The Hurricanes might be a better fit for Brown. If Miami lands Brown or Newman expect one or some combination incumbent QBs Jarren Williams, N’Kosi Perry and Tate Martell to transfer.
