The game against the Tar Heels will be one of the Hurricanes’ biggest in 2020. Miami let a fourth-quarter lead slip away in a loss in Chapel Hill in 2019. A North Carolina conversion on fourth and 17 and missed field goals and an extra point by former Miami kicker

Bubba Baxa

contributed greatly to the loss.

The game against North Carolina begins a six-week stretch of games to finish the 2020 season for the Miami football team. The Hurricanes travel to Charlottesville to play Virginia on Halloween appropriately in a matchup of two schools with orange as a primary color.  UVA will be defending its 2019 ACC Coastal Division title.

Miami is home a week following playing Virginia to host Florida State. The Hurricanes have flipped the rivalry Florida State once dominated. Miami has won the last three after a seven-game losing streak. At home and with the more talented team, the Hurricanes appear poised to make it four straight wins against FSU.

After hosting Florida State, the Miami football team will have a pair of consecutive games away from home. The Hurricanes close the season on what could be dubbed the redemption tour. Miami plays at Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech November 14 and 21 and returns to host Duke November 28.
