Four-star quarterback prospect Miller Moss who is high on the Miami football 2021 recruiting list was one of the elite performers at the Under Armour All-America Camp in Southern California this weekend.

Four-star quarterback Miller Moss who has the Miami football program as one of five schools he is reportedly high on, excelled at the Under Armour All-American Camp in Orange County California this weekend. Moss was named the Alpha Dog by 247Sports and currently has 20 scholarship offers.

Moss is the highest-ranked uncommitted QB offered by the Miami football program. The Hurricanes currently have scholarship offers out to four pro-style QBs in the 2021 recruiting cycle and one dual-threat QB. Of those five signal-callers, Moss is the only one listed as warm with the Hurricanes.

Moss is an elite quarterback that could challenge 2020 incoming freshman Tyler VanDyke and potential returnees N’Kosi Perry and Tate Martell who will be redshirt seniors in 2021. The chances are strong that Martell, Perry or both could transfer after the 2020 season or even potentially before that.

Moss is the 60th ranked player in the country, the seventh-ranked pro-style QB and seventh-ranked player overall in California for 2021. VanDyke was the 220th ranked player in the 2020 signing class nationally, the seventh-ranked pro-style QB and top-ranked player in Connecticut. Right now VanDyke is the QB of the future.

"“ALPHA DOG – QB Miller Moss, Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop AlemanyThe 6-foot-2, 197-pound prospect didn’t appear at all affected by the wet and gusty weather at Mission Viejo Stadium. Moss was accurate to all levels of the field, repeatedly hit receivers in stride both during one-on-one battles and in the 7-on-7 portion of camp, and looked poised in connecting on his deep ball.He was smooth mechanically and showed off his arm strength on a number of impressive throws over the middle where he fit them into tight windows. With 20 scholarship offers on the table, the likes of California, Miami, Northwestern and UCLA are high on the list, while Stanford is also one to monitor closely.Moss earned an invite to the 2021 Under Armour All-America Game with his performance.”"

Mountain and Island region 247Sports analyst Blair Angulo is clearly high on Moss. Miami has traditionally recruited well signing QBs from California. Heisman Trophy winner and national champion Gino Torretta, national champion and Heisman Finalist Ken Dorsey and all-time leading passer Brad Kaaya were from California.

Following his elite performance in Southern California this weekend, Moss received an invite to the Under Armour All-American game next year and was named one of their Future 50 as one of the best 50 players in the country. Five Miami signees in the Class of 2020 played in the Under Armour All-America game this year.

Moss was also praised by Sports Illustrated college recruiting analyst Matt Solorio. Moss would be a huge signing for head coach Manny Diaz, offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee and the Miami football program. Moss seems to be in a good place with his throwing mechanics as evidenced by his success in bad weather this weekend.

"QB Miller Moss, Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany Moss was throwing the ball about as well as you can in the pouring rain. His over-the-top throwing motion helped keep the ball from slipping his release prematurely, resulting in him hitting some impressive deep throws.Coaches and players alike took notice of the young man’s touch on deep throws, in addition to his throwing capabilities while on the move. Moss’s bootlegs are in some ways a mean impression of a shortstop fielding a screaming ground ball in the SS-3B gap. Think Derek Jeter jump throw, but without the sidearm.Moss earned an invitation to the 2021 Under Armor All-America Game for his superb performance distributing and taking care of the football."

Moss is the second-highest ranked QB and top-ranked four-star signal-caller in the Class of 2021 that is unsigned. Five-star QB Caleb Williams who attends Gonzaga in Washington D.C. the alma mater of Miami basketball star Chris Lykes is the top-ranked unsigned QB. Williams appears to be leaning towards LSU.

Signing Moss would be a coup for the Miami football program. None of the Hurricanes players in the Class of 2020 were named to the Future 50. Current Miami football players Cornerback Te’Cory Couch and wide receiver Jeremiah Payton were the most recent Hurricanes named to the Future 50 in 2019.
