The Miami football program is in the running for three five-star recruits in the class of 2021. Two of those three are currently crystal balled to the Hurricanes by 247Sports.Com.
Safety James Williams was initially committed to the Miami football program. As the top-ranked safety in the Class of 2021, Williams recruitment appears to currently be wide open with him projected to sign with Georgia on his one Crystal Ball. Wide receiver Jacorey Brooks and cornerback Jason Marshall are crystal balled to Miami.
Williams was committed to Miami from March 2018 through April of 2019. The 6’5 218 pound Williams last visited Miami in June 2019, he has since visited Alabama, and Auburn twice since meeting with the Hurricanes staff unofficially. Williams is returning to American Heritage after playing at Western in 2019.
Brooks plays at legendary Booker T. Washington in Miami. The 6’3 185 pound wideout would give Miami excellent size on the perimeter. Brooks is the 19th ranked player in the Class of 2021, the second-ranked WR and third-ranked player in Florida. Miami has no one committed for 2021 at safety or wide receiver.
Marshall is the fourth highest-ranked player in Florida in the Class of 2021 and the third of the five-star players that Miami has been strongly connected to getting a commitment from. Three-star CB Tim Burns is the only commit at that position for Miami in 2021. Adding Marshall would be a huge coup.
Demetric Warren of OM Spirit, the 247 Mississippi site projects Brooks and Marshall to sign with Miami. One more five-star in-state recruit to watch who Miami has a chance of signing is LB Terrance Lewis of Chaminade-Madonna in Hollywood. Four 247 experts have Lewis crystal balled to four different schools.
The lead expert on the recruitment for Lewis is Andrew Ivins of Inside the U. Ivins projects Lewis will sign with Florida, Alabama and Florida are in the running with Clemson expert Anna Hickey unsure which school Lewis is leaning towards. Williams seems like a long shot at this point with college football blue bloods in the running.
Williams announced earlier this month that Alabama, Georgia and Clemson were the final three schools he has narrowed his recruitment to. With the early National Signing Day 10 months away nearly to the day, a lot can change between now and then with any of the recruits. Miami has to prove itself on the field first.
