In two seasons with the Miami football program, Njoku finished his career with 64 receptions for 1,060 yards and nine TDs. Njoku worked his way into the first round with the Cleveland Browns after they traded up to get the former Hurricanes tight end. Njoku played well in 2017 and ’18 before being limited to four games in 2019.

20-yard shuttle: Edgerrin James 1999

The shuttle was not separated into categories on Pro Football Reference or NFL combine results. We will have to take Porter’s analysis on the 20 and 60-yard shuttle results by former Miami players. James who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer ran 3.88 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle in 1999.

60-yard shuttle: Brandon Harris

Defensive back Brandon Harris set the Miami football record by running 11.31 seconds in the 60-yard shuttle in 2011 according to NFL.Com via Porter. Harris was a second-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2011 before retiring after playing for the Tennessee Titans for 2014.

Three-cone drill: Craig Cooper

Craig Cooper is fifth in Miami football history with 2,383 rushing yards. At the 2011 NFL Combine, Cooper ran 6.66 seconds. Incredibly, Cooper went undrafted and never played in the NFL. Philip Dorsett nearly matched Cooper with a 6.70 at the 2015 NFL Combine. Dorsett is still in the NFL with the New England Patriots.

If would be difficult to imagine any of the seven players from the Miami football program participating in the 2020 NFL Combine to match or exceed the records set by the Hurricanes alums. Greg Rousseau and Brevin Jordan are likely to leave Miami early and will be players to watch at the 2021 NFL Combine.
