Four-star 2021 safety Terrion Arnold of Tallahassee stated over the weekend at the Under Armour Camp in Orlando that he likes the hiring of Ed Reed as the Chief of Staff to the Miami football program and the signing of four-star safety Avantae Williams.

Terrion Arnold is the 325th ranked player overall, the 14th ranked safety and 51st player in Florida in the Class of 2021 according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Arnold told Inside the U at the Under Armour camp in Orlando this weekend that he likes the Miami football program hiring Ed Reed and signing Avantae Williams.

Reed was hired last month as the Chief of Staff with the Miami football program. Williams signed with Miami after being unanimously projected to Florida during his recruitment. Arnold does not have a crystal ball yet, but Alabama and Florida State are listed as warm in his recruitment.

A visit from Arnold to Miami is projected from March 16-18. Williams was one of four safeties Miami signed in the Category 20 recruiting class and the highest-ranked signee for the Hurricanes this year. Arnold could team with Williams and four-star 2020 safety Jalen Harrell to give Miami a trio to patrol the secondary.

Andrew Ivins of Inside the U reported Reed was the favorite player of Arnold growing up and that the signing of Williams was big to the highly sought after defensive back. Georgia and LSU are programs to watch in the recruitment of Arnold in addition to Alabama and Florida State. Miami does not have a safety committed for 2021.

With four safeties signed in the 2020 class and Gurvan Hall entering Bubba Bolden their junior seasons signing a safety for 2021 might not be a priority. The Hurricanes will likely need to sign a safety in the 2022 class. Miami will lose senior safety Amari Carter after the 2020 season. Miami begins spring practice on Monday.
