As Canes Warning projected last week the Miami Football program appears to be on the verge of adding a commitment from Ryan Rodriguez the 10th ranked center in the country in the Class of 2021.

Entering the 2021 season, the Miami football program will likely have Corey Gaynor entering his redshirt senior season and Jakai Clark entering his junior seasons as the centers on their rosters. Receiving a commitment from three-star center Ryan Rodriguez would be a big boost to the Hurricanes 2021 recruiting class.

The 2021 Miami football class currently as four-star offensive linemen, guard Laurence Seymore and tackle Michael McLaughlin as the only players committed on the O-line. Adding Rodriguez would give head coach Manny Diaz and offensive line coach Garin Justice one player at each position on the offensive line for 2021.

Andrew Ivins from Inside the U in a post for their national partner 247Sports gave Miami the first crystal ball for the 6’3, 280 pound Rodriguez. Rodriguez was part of the Under Armour Camp held in Miami on Sunday. He is still expected to take visits to Louisville and Wake Forest. Rodriguez comes from a family of Miami fans.

The offensive line on the Miami football team is young entering the 2020 season. Guard Navaughn Donaldson is the only senior. Without any transfers or anyone leaving early for the NFL Draft, Miami is expected to return everyone upfront in 2021. Adding an offensive lineman through the transfer portal is possible for 2020 or ’21.

Justice shuffled the offensive line around during the first week of spring practice as the Miami football team adjusts to the new up-tempo, spread offense under new offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee. The Lashlee offense is expected to help what was a porous Miami offensive line in 2019.

After his visit during the first week of spring practice, Rodriguez stated he liked the coaching style of Justice and the enthusiasm that the Hurricanes players have. Rodriguez was impressive during the Under Armour camp on Sunday and he could rise in the recruiting rankings before the early national signing day in December.
