The other road game for Miami will be their first in South Bend in nine seasons to face Notre Dame. The Hurricanes lost a 30-27 heartbreaker at Notre Dame in 2016 after coming back from a 20-7 deficit to take a 27-20 lead, only to lose. Miami has lost the last four games in South Bend since a 31-13 victory in 1984.

The other two non-conference games in 2024 are coincidently against two other teams from Florida and Indiana. Miami will play its 2024 home opener against Florida A&M. The Hurricanes and Rattlers last met in 2016 with a 70-3 Miami victory. Miami leads the all-time series 10-0 after the 2016 victory.

A week after hosting Florida A&M, Ball State from Muncie, Indiana will visit Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes and Cardinal will meet for the first time. Ball State is in the MAC with Miami (Ohio). Toledo who Miami defeated in 2017 and ’18 is another MAC rival of Ball State.

2025
09/13 – USF
09/20 – Florida
TBA – Notre Dame

Miami will commence a three-game series with South Florida in 2026. Miami hosts the Bulls in 2025 and 2028 and travel to Tampa in 2027. Depending on the strength of the USF program by the middle of the twenties, 2025 could be one of the most challenging schedules in the country with Florida and Notre Dame included.
