A big 2019 was expected from Garvin after his breakout 2018 season. It did not materialize that way. Garvin produced an inconsistent season with his effort often being questioned. It seemed as if he was using Miami as an NFL factory. Garvin’s numbers dropped across the board to 37 tackles, nine TFLs and five sacks.

Thomas is the biggest disappointment in the 2017 signing class. He entered Miami as a four-star signee and a record-setting MVP in the Under Armour High School All-America Game. Incidents off the field led to multiple suspensions and in 2018 Thomas’ departure from the team. Manny Diaz welcomed Thomas back as head coach.

At times, Thomas was an explosive playmaker. His inconsistency caused him to fail to live up to expectations. In three seasons, Thomas finished with 83 receptions for 1,316 yards and eight TDs, nine carries for 64 yards, 54 kickoff returns for an average of 22.6 YPR and 14 punt returns with astronomical 18.9 YPR and one TD.

Bandy finished his Miami career with 90 tackles, nine TFLs, three sacks, four interceptions, one memorable pick-six against Notre Dame as a true freshman and 23 pass breakups. Bandy led Miami in PBUs during each of his last two seasons with Miami. , Bandy should have a productive  NFL career as a cornerback in the slot.
