With everyone quarantined, working from home and having children homeschooled across the country, parents have had to create their own schedules to keep their households busy. Miami Hurricanes defensive coordinator Blake Baker posted the Camp Baker schedule on Twitter Sunday.

Baker and his wife Roslyn have their daughter Anderson and son Byron on a schedule that begins at 7 AM and ends at 7 PM. The schedule includes time for Blake from 2 PM-3 PM daily stated as Dad time written out on a chalkboard that resembles a restaurant specials list that would be posted on the sidewalk.

Baker would be very busy this time of year as the Miami Hurricanes would be towards the end of spring practice before all collegiate athletics were canceled through the end of the 2019-20 academic year over two weeks ago. The Hurricanes had four practices during the first week of March before breaking for spring break.

Miami was projected to return from Spring Break March 16 to resume spring practice. The Hurricanes now canceled Spring Game had been scheduled for April 11 at Traz Powell Stadium with Hard Rock Stadium unavailable. Baker has five returning starters to work with on the Miami defense this fall.

Baker was gifted defensive end Quincy Roche who signed with Miami in January as a graduate transfer from Temple. Roche joins redshirt sophomore Greg Rousseau who leads all returnees nationally with 15.5 sacks and the top signee in the nation in 2017, Jaelan Phillips who transferred from UCLA to Miami in 2019.

The biggest challenge for Baker this fall will be replacing the middle of the Hurricanes defense. Four-year starting linebackers Shaq Quarterman and Michael Pinckney and striker Romeo Finley graduated. Not counted among the returning starters for Miami is redshirt senior Zach McCloud who was a starting LB from 2016-18.
