The Miami baseball team receives their turn when the Hurricanes 5-4 victory over Pittsburgh in 11 innings is aired. That game was played March 7 in what turned out to be the last Friday game of Miami’s 2020 season. After taking a 4-0 lead the Miami bullpen allowed two in the seventh and two in the eighth to tie the game.
First baseman Alex Toral who led the ACC in home runs in 2019, hit his second home run of the game in a 5-4 Miami walk-off victory. Pittsburgh entered the series 10-2. Miami won the next two games of the series against the Panthers to sweep what turned out to be their only three games in ACC in 2020.
The Miami women’s basketball team will be featured in a five-hour block from 10 AM-3 PM. The decision to air the games against Notre Dame and Louisville in the middle of the night and the women’s basketball programming in the middle of the day is questionable at best. Football will get the biggest ratings in general.
The Women’s basketball programming will begin with the Hurricanes victory over Wake Forest in January of this season. Miami outscored Wake Forest 21-12 in the fourth quarter for a 59-56 victory. That will be followed by an hour of All-Access and Miami’s thrilling 2019 victory at number two Louisville.
