Eight Miami football players are ranked in the top 301 players for the 2021 NFL Draft according to the Draft Network.Com.

Eight Miami football players are among the top 301 players ranked by the Draft Network in a list of prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft. Defensive ends Greg Rousseau and Quincy Roche and tight end Brevin Jordan top the list of Hurricanes ranked for next year’s NFL Draft. Rousseau is the fifth-ranked player on the list.

The number of selections in the 2021 NFL Draft will be determined by the compensatory picks following free agency. The 2020 NFL Draft had 255 players chosen. Five of the eight Miami players on the list are inside the top 255 players for 2021. Center Corey Gaynor is ranked 264th and safety Bubba Bolden 269th.

Only three of the eight Miami football players ranked are seniors in 2020. Graduate transfers Roche and quarterback D’Eriq King and LB Zach McCloud are the three Miami rising Seniors ranked in the top 301 by The Draft Network. It would be surprising for Gaynor who will be a redshirt junior to declare for the NFL Draft.

Bolden who will also be a redshirt junior in 2020 could leave with a big season this fall. After an injury and eligibility plagued inaugural season the top 60 player in the Class of 2017 needs to impress scouts to move greatly up that list to make leaving a year before his eligibility expires worth it.

DE Greg Rousseau fifth-ranked 2021 NFL Draft prospect

Rousseau is likely to be the highest drafted player from the Miami football program since offensive tackle Ereck Flowers was selected ninth overall by the Giants in 2014. After a breakout season in 2019 with 19.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks a lot is expected from Rousseau in 2021. Rousseau is a consensus top-five pick for 2021.
