After missing on defensive player developing into an NFL Draft pick in 2018 Baker saw his biggest star in four seasons as the Louisiana Tech defensive coordinator be drafted in 2019.
Defensive end Jaylan Ferguson was unstoppable for Louisiana Tech. Ferguson set the Bulldogs career record with 45 sacks and has the two best single-season sack totals in Louisiana Tech history with 14.5 as a sophomore in 2016 and 17.5 as a senior in 2018. Ferguson also left Ruston with 187 tackles and 67.5 TFLs.
