In a tweet posted on Tuesday, rising junior tight end Brevin Jordan basically stated he is willing to do whatever it takes to help the Miami football team win.

Brevin Jordan finished second on the Miami football team in receiving yards and third in receptions in 2019. Jordan returns for his junior season hoping to stay healthy and improve his draft status. In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Jordan made it clear he is willing to do what it takes to help the Hurricanes win in 2020.

Jordan is one of the top prospects at TE for the 2021 NFL Draft is he chooses to leave following his junior season as he is expected to do. Jordan has started 22 of the 23 games he has played in his first two years at Miami. The Las Vegas native has 67 receptions for 782 yards and six TDs.

If he can stay healthy, Jordan has a great chance to be a featured part of the Miami offense in 2020. Jordan and rising senior wide receiver Mike Harley are the only Hurricanes receivers with extensive experience. In the new offense under new offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee there will be more opportunities.

Miami will run about 15 plays more per game than they did in 2019 under former offensive coordinator Dan Enos. Lashlee runs an uptempo spread offense compared to the more traditional Pro-Style of Enos. Jordan is an athletic, speedy receiver at TE who is more than a willing and skillful blocker.

Jordan is recovering from a foot injury that caused him to miss the last three games of the 2019 Miami football season and the Hurricanes limited one week of spring practice. Getting Jordan healthy for the 2019 season will be a critical part of the Miami offensive turning around their inconsistencies from last season.

Jordan was a finalist in 2019 for the Mackey Award honoring the best TE in college football. If Jordan can stay healthy and play the entire season in 2020, he should put up much bigger numbers in the Lashlee offense. If that occurs Jordan will likely be a more serious contender for the Mackey than he was in 2019.
