Miami needs to add depth at LB in the Class of 2021. Zach McCloud enters his fifth season on the Miami football roster in 2020. Sophomore Sam Brooks or redshirt freshman Avery Huff is expected to start next to McCloud in 2020. Miami signed inside LBs Tirek Austin-Cave and Corey Flagg in the 2020 class.

Patrick Joyner, Bradley Jennings Jr. and Waynmon Steed have dealt with injuries throughout their Miami careers. Another LB or two to add to Johnson and Hammett in the Class of 2020 would be helpful.

Sebastian Sagar and Jaydon Hood are both still highly considering Miami. Sagar is 6-4, 215 pounds. The Miami staff is very high on his potential despite being ranked below 1,500 overall and 103rd at LB in the 2021 class. Hood would be a huge signing for Miami on a few levels. Keeping players like Hood home is critical for Miami.

Hood is 6-1, 212 pounds, the nation’s 298th ranked player, the 11th ranked ILB and 48th ranked player in Florida. Hood attends legendary St. Thomas Aquinas that produced Michael Irvin and current Hurricanes WR Mike Harley. The last player that still holds Miami in high regard is safety Kamren Kinchens.

Kinchens plays for another legendary South Florida high school, Miami Northwestern. The 5-11,190 safety is the nation’s 298th ranked player, 19th ranked safety and 49th ranked player in Florida. Miami signed four safeties in the Class of 2020, so it is not a priority position. Signing Kinchens would provide more depth.
