The 2021 recruiting class for the Miami football program would move from 15th to 11th with the expected commitment of four-star wide receiver Jacolby Georgia on Saturday.

Four-star wide receiver Jacolby George is scheduled to announce which college football program he will commit to on Saturday. George is expected to announce his commitment to the Miami football program. The addition of George to the Hurricanes 2021 recruiting class would push Miami from 15th to 11th nationally.

George is the 178th ranked player in the nation, 34th ranked WR and 26th ranked player in Florida in the Class of 2021. The 2021 Miami recruiting class is currently 15th nationally and third in the ACC. Clemson currently has the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class and Miami’s ACC Coastal Division rival, North Carolina is fifth.

George has the potential to be the cornerstone of the 2021 Miami recruiting class. If he commits to the Hurricanes, George would currently be the second highest-ranked player for Miami in 2021. Guard Leonard Seymore is the 158th ranked player nationally. George is rated at 0.9256 while Seymore graded out at .9311.

Miami has yet to receive a commitment from a wide receiver in the Class of 2021. Mike Harley is the only senior WR Miami will have in 2020. The Hurricanes signed four WRs in the Class of 2020. Juniors Dee Wiggins and Mark Pope are eligible for the 2021 NFL Draft. Based on their current status expect them to return in 2022.

Miami has two commitments from tight ends in the 2021 Class. Four-star Elijah Arroyo is the 13th ranked TE for 2021 and three-star Khalil Brantley is 34th. New offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee runs the spread. It will be interesting to see how the TEs are used in the new offense. Expect Miami TEs to be used often in 2020.

The addition of George to the 2021 Miami recruiting class would add more credibility and the move up to 11th putting the Hurricanes on the periphery of the top 10 would look much better to potential recruits. A commitment from George gives the Miami offense a skill position player to build around in the 2021 recruiting class.
