Kamren Kinchens Safety

Based on the current expectations of the Miami 2021 recruiting class if the Hurricanes receive a commitment from four-star safety Kamren Kinchens he would be the highest-ranked defensive player.

Four-star defensive tackle Savion Collins is the nation’s 242nd ranked player in 2021 and currently, Miami’s highest-ranked defensive player. Collins is expected to flip to Florida at some point in the 2021 cycle. Although he is commited to Miami, Collins has two crystal balls that project him to eventually sign with Florida.

The schools highest on Kinchens list in addition to Miami are Auburn and Texas A&M. Both crystal balls currently project Kinchens to sign with Miami. Andrew Ivins and David Lake of Inside the U, the Miami 247 site, are the prognosticators who currently project Kinchens to sign with Miami.

Miami signed four safeties in 2020 and are being selective with who they sign at the position in the 2021 class. The Hurricanes will lose Amari Carter after the 2020 season. Juniors Gurvan Hall and Bubba Bolden will have the option to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.

The decisions for Bolden and Hall returning for the 2021 season will likely depend on how the 2020 season plays out. Lake recently reported that the Miami football staff is very high on Kinchens future. A July 11 date has been set for Kinchens to announce which school he is committing to.

Five weeks out from his commitment, all signs are pointing for Kinchens to announce he will sign with Miami in December. The way Miami’s class stands currently the addition of Kinchens would push the Hurricanes to ninth nationally.
