The race to sign four-star Miami Northwestern wide receiver Romello Brinson is likely between the Georgia and Miami Football programs ahead of his Saturday commitment announcement.

Although Texas A&M currently holds the crystal ball edge for four-star wide receiver Romello Brinson that will change in the next few days. Andrew Ivins of Inside the U currently has his crystal ball for Brinson as Texas A&M wrote Wednesday Brinson is expected to commit to the Georgia or Miami football program.

Ivins stated that he will change his crystal ball from Texas A&M in the next couple of days. When pressed to make a decision on whether or not the Miami Northwestern WR will choose the Hurricanes or Bulldogs, Ivins projected the choice from Brinson will be Miami. Ivins crystal ball for Brinson to the Aggies was posted last month.

The expectation between now and Saturday is that the decision for Brinson is going to come down to Georgia and Miami. Ivins reported the new offensive coaches for Miami are making Brinson feel wanted and that he will see plenty of targets for the Hurricanes.

Miami hired Rhett Lashlee from SMU as the new offensive coordinator to run an uptempo, spread offense similar to the air raid that Mississippi State coach Mike Leach runs. Rob Likens comes to Miami from Arizona State as the new WRs coach. Likens has had a WR picked in the first round in each of the last two NFL Drafts.

Georgia is still considered a major player in Brinson’s recruitment. Brinson was able to make a visit to Athens in March before everything shut down. At 6-2, 180 pounds Brinson is the 132nd ranked player, the 25th ranked WR and 21st ranked player in Florida in the Class of 2021. Ivins projects that Brinson will sign with Miami.

Ivins’ 247 Sports colleague Rusty Mansell posted earlier on Wednesday that he has heard reports from both schools from different sources on which way Brinson is leading, but that more has been that he will commit to Georgia. Alabama and LSU rounded out the five finalists for Brinson.
