The Miami football program is likely to receive a commitment from four-star wide receiver Romello Brinson on Saturday. Brinson would be the highest-ranked commit to the Hurricanes 2021 recruiting class.

Four-star wide receiver Romello Brinson is expected to become the highest-ranked commit to the Miami football recruiting class on Saturday. Brinson is the 132nd ranked player overall, the 25th ranked WR and 21st ranked player in Florida in the Class of 2021.

All three of Brinson’s crystal balls on 247Sports.Com are trending to Miami. Andrew Ivins of Inside the U, who previously projects Brinson as signing with Texas A&M changed his crystal ball for Brinson to Miami on Friday afternoon.

Ivins’ colleague at Inside the U, David Lake and his 247 Sports colleague, 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong also have Brinson crystal balled to Miami. Georgia has been reported all week as the biggest competition to Brinson commited to Miami.

Bulldawg Illustrated, a website covering Georgia also expects Brinson to commit to the Hurricanes Saturday. Brinson would be another huge commitment for the 2021 Miami recruiting class in the last few months. A commitment from Brinson would pass guard Laurence Seymore as the Hurricanes’ highest-ranked commit for 2021.

Brinson is the 158th ranked player, ninth-ranked guard and 24th ranked player in Florida. Miami is building its 2021 Class with a foundation based in South Florida. Brinson would be the 13th commit out of 16 in the Hurricanes 2021 class from Dade or Broward Counties.

Commits, linebacker Deshawn Troutman from Orlando and tight end Elijah Arroyo from Frisco, Texas outside of Dallas both spent significant portions of their childhoods in Dade County.

Only Fort Myers based athlete Malik Curtis does not have ties to Dade or Broward Counties among the current commits to the 2021 Miami recruiting class.  Ivins, Lake and Wiltfong all have confidence scores of eight that Brinson will commit to Miami. Brinson would raise Miami from 14th to ninth in the national rankings.
