Miami football top five 2010s signees
Seantrel Henderson signed with the Miami football program in 2010 as the second-ranked player in the country and top-ranked offensive tackle from Cretin-Durham Hall High School in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Cretin-Durham Hall is the same high school that produced Miami 1987 National Championship quarterback Steve Walsh.
Henderson played four seasons with the Miami football program from 2010-13. Henderson played in all 12 of the Hurricanes games as a true freshman in 2010, starting nine. Most of Henderson’s snaps as a true freshman came at right tackle. Henderson was a standout freshman nationally.
Following the season, Henderson was named a freshman All-American and the Miami Newcomer of the Year. With Henderson starting at tackle, Miami averaged 494.9 yards per offense. Throughout the entire 2010 season, that would have been seventh-best nationally. Henderson played in eight games as a sophomore.
Getting back to health as a junior, following surgery in between his freshman and sophomore seasons, Henderson played in 11 games during his junior season in 2012. Henderson started the final seven games of the 2012 season for Miami at right tackle. Henderson was named All-ACC following the season.
Henderson played in 12 games as a senior with eight starts at right tackle. Following his 2013 senior season, Henderson earned consensus third-team All-ACC and participated in the senior bowl. After his senior season, Henderson was the 237th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
