Duke Johnson lived up to his potential as a five-star Miami football signee in the 2010s more than any other player. In three seasons with the Hurricanes, Johnson ran for a program-record 3,519 yards, 69 receptions for 719 yards and four touchdowns, had 41 kick returns for 1,288 yards a 31.4 yards per return average and two TDs.

Johnson also has the Miami football records for 100-yard games with 14, all-purpose yards in a game with 368 against Virginia in 2014 and career all-purpose yards with 5,526. During Johnson’s three seasons with the Hurricanes, he earned multiple awards.

As a freshman in 2014, Johnson was named the ACC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year. Johnson became the first Miami player to earn both awards. Johnson was named first-team All-ACC in 2014 and second-team All-ACC in 2012 and 2013. After his junior season, Johnson declared for the NFL Draft.

Johnson was drafted in the third round, 77th overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2015. In the NFL Johnson has become a specialist as a receiver out of the backfield. In five NFL seasons with the Browns and Houston Texans, Johnson has 1,696 yards rushing and seven TDs and 279 receptions for 2,580 yards and 11 TDs.
