Tracy Howard started 22 of the 47 games he played in for Miami over four seasons. Howard finished his Hurricanes career with 104 tackles, one TFL, five interceptions, 10 pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. Howard was the 23rd ranked player in the country, top-ranked CB and fourth-ranked in Florida in 2012.

Howard’s best season for Miami came as a sophomore in 2013. Howard finished the 2013 season with 38 tackles, four interceptions and his lone tackle for loss. The highlight of the season for Howard came when he had an interception return for a TD on the opening play of the game against Virginia.

Howard was openly critical of Golden in the same article in The Athletic as Chickillo was. Howard did not hold any ill will towards Golden. After being undrafted in 2016, Howard signed with the Cleveland Browns. In 15 games as a rookie, Howard started three games and recorded 20 tackles with seven kickoff returns for 111 yards.

Following one season in Cleveland, Howard was released the next spring. Howard was on the practice squads of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins during the 2017 season. The Dolphins released Howard following a failed physical in May 2018. Howard has not made it back to the NFL since being released by Miami.
