Florida State Defensive tackle Marvin Wilson

Miami has flipped the rivalry with Florida State over the past three seasons with three straight wins for the first time since the Hurricanes won six straight from 2000-2004 (the teams played two games during the 2003 season).

Last season was a 27-10 Miami demolition with Rousseau recording four sacks. The Seminoles have an elite defensive lineman of their own.

Defensive tackle Marvin Wilson is the best interior lineman in the ACC and one of the best in the country. Wilson had three tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup against Miami last season. Wilson finished 2019 with 44 tackles with 8.5 TFLs, five sacks and four pass breakups.

Wilson only played in nine games in 2019 after sustaining a season-ending injury. Despite missing a quarter of the season and Florida State finishing 5-7, Wilson still earned first-team All-ACC. The Miami offensive line which was porous in 2019, will have to improve in 2020 and Wilson will be one of their biggest challenges.

Florida State had five TFLs and two sacks against the Miami football team in 2019. That was one of the better performances by the Hurricanes offensive line last season. Wilson improved from honorable mention All-ACC to first-team from 2018 to 2019. Wilson should be a candidate for multiple national awards in 2020.
