The Miami football program holds all eight crystal balls for five-star defensive tackle Leonard Taylor five days ahead of his commitment announcement.

Five-star defensive tackle Leonard Taylor who has been projected to commit to Florida throughout his recruitment has all eight of his current crystal balls to the Miami football program. Taylor is scheduled to announce which college he will attend on Thursday.

All eight of the crystal balls that project Taylor to commit to Miami on Thursday have come in the last week. Three of those crystal balls for Taylor were logged on Friday. One of those came from Miami Insider Andrew Ivins of Inside the U. Taylor received two crystal balls this week from 247Sports national recruiting experts.

Taylor would be the second five-star commit to Miami in the Class of 2021 after five-star athlete James Williams. Taylor and Williams would also provide Miami with the best player from Dade and Broward counties for the first time since 2012 when Miami signed running back Duke Johnson and cornerback Tracy Howard.

Miami currently has the 10th ranked class nationally for 2021. The expected commitment from Taylor on Thursday will move Miami up to eighth in the 2021 recruiting cycle passing North Carolina and Michigan. Only Clemson who is ranked second nationally would be ahead of Miami in the 2021 ACC recruiting rankings.

Taylor will be the third DT to commit to Miami for 2021. His Miami Palmetto teammate, four-star

Savion Collins

and three-star

Allan Haye

from Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna give Miami a good base on the interior of the defensive line for 2021. Miami will definitely lose senior DT Jon Ford after the 2020 season.

After Taylor the next big commit Miami is recruiting heavily is four-star safety Corey Collier who also plays at Palmetto. Collier will announce his college commitment on August 11. Miami head coach Manny Diaz and his staff have done an exceptional job adding talent since the shutdown of on-campus recruiting in March.
