The Miami football program will play their one non-conference game in 2020 against UAB according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that the Miami football program will host UAB in their one allotted non-conference game of 2020. The Hurricanes and Blazers are scheduled to play September 17 at Hard Rock Stadium. The 2020 schedule will be released Thursday at 9 AM.

The full schedule will be known tomorrow when the ACC releases the dates and times at 9 AM ET. Miami previously was scheduled to begin its 2020 season against Temple September 5 at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes have non-conferenced games scheduled against Temple, Wagner on September 12 and UAB.

The 2020 ACC schedule was drastically changed by the conference last week. Games at Clemson, Louisville and North Carolina State have been added to the schedule, Duke was taken off and games at Georgia Tech and Virginia have been shifted to Hard Rock Stadium. No date has been specified for the UAB game.

If Miami keeps the game on the 17th or at least the same weekend that would mean the Hurricanes open the season with an ACC opponent. The other two Miami road games in 2020 are at Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. The other three home games are Florida State, North Carolina and Pittsburgh.
