Miami Football first two 2020 game times and TV Networks announced

In a press release on the official athletic program website, the first two games of the 2020 Miami football season were announced.

Games times and television networks have been announced for the first two Miami football games of the 2020 season. The Hurricanes open September 10 at 8 PM against UAB at Hard Rock Stadium on the ACC Network. Miami’s week two game at Lousiville will kickoff at either 3:30 PM or 7:30 PM on ABC.

Miami is playing UAB for the first time in program history. The Hurricanes defeated the Cardinals 52-27 in Miami in 2019. UAB finished the 2019 season 9-5 and reached their third straight bowl game. Louisville was 8-5 and defeated Mississippi State in the Music City Bowl to end their 2019 season.

The game was picked up by the ACC Network according to Barry Jackson of Miami Herald because the NBA Playoffs are on ESPN, the Women’s Semifinals of the US Open are on ESPN2 and high school football is scheduled for ESPNU. Miami will likely have their third and fourth games of 2020 on ABC or ESPN.

Miami hosts Florida State September 26 and after a week off travels to Clemson on October 10. Those are likely to be the games that draw the most interest from the Miami fanbase. The Hurricanes enter 2020 with a three-game winning streak against the Seminoles and have not played Clemson since 2017.

A decision on game time for the matchup with the Cardinals will be made after the games played on Sept. 12.Miami’s game at NC State, set for Friday, Nov. 6, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN."

The games against UAB and North Carolina State are the only weekday games Miami will play in 2020. The announcement of the game times and networks came via MiamiHurricanes.Com, the official athletic department website. Clemson, NC State and Louisville were all added to the 2020 Miami football schedule.

Dropped from the 2020 Miami schedule was Duke who is usually an ACC Coastal Division rival. The ACC has eliminated the Atlantic and Coastal divisions for the 2020 season. The top two teams in the 15 team ACC which includes Notre Dame this season will qualify for the ACC Championship Game either December 12 or 19.
