The Hurricanes return to the road for one of their most critical games on November 6 at Virginia Tech. Miami begins the home stretch of their schedule November 21 against Georgia Tech, plays at Wake Forest November 28 and host North Carolina December 5 in which a berth in the ACC Championship game could be on the line.

UAB was originally scheduled to play at Miami on September 17. Miami had non-conference games against Wagner and Michigan State canceled due to the Northeast and Big 10 conference changes in their 2020 schedules. The game against Temple was canceled because Miami had to chose one non-conference game.

UAB will provide the Miami football team with a challenging game to open the 2020 season. The Blazers were eighth in the country in total defense in 2019.

UAB defeated Central Arkansas 45-35 in their season opener. The game was not nearly as close as the score. Four UAB turnovers aided the Bears offense.
